Multimap is pleased to provide you with details of our Developer Program. We've created this Program to help you design and build powerful geographic and location-based applications and services for your customers, quickly and cost-effectively. We aim to drive growth and innovation in our industry by providing the developer community with easy access to Multimap's services and tools, and technical and marketing support.
Developer Program Benefits
The benefits of the Multimap Developer Program include:
- Multimap Developer News: bi-monthly news updates on new services and service features; sales and marketing information; upcoming events; and more.
- Multimap Developer Forum: Multimap hosts a discussion group for developers who would like to share implementation tips; post queries; and provide Multimap with feedback on its services. And once a month, a member of the Multimap technical team will join the Forum, to provide live responses.
- Free Trials: Multimap services are available for free trial for up to 30 days.
- Access to Client Zone: Client Zone is Multimap's password-protected extranet facility. It's an easy-to-use tool that supports database and account management. It also provides access to Implementation Guidelines for our services.
- Quarterly Training Sessions: members are invited to Multimap's free quarterly training sessions, where they will gain tips on effective ways to implement Multimap's services, and hear about the latest technology and product directions from the Multimap team.
Further benefits for Certified Program Members:
- Accreditation: members of our program can be certified in their knowledge and use of Multimap services. Certified members receive a "Multimap Certified" logo for use on their own sites—your company is associated with the leading internet mapping brand in Europe.
- Lead Generation: Multimap focuses on internet mapping and location-based services—we do not build web sites. However, Multimap customers and prospects often ask us to recommend developers to implement sites that will contain our services. Certified Members of our Developer Program will receive access to these valuable leads.
- Joint Marketing Initiatives: developers' logos and profiles are featured on Multimap's public web site, one of the top 10 sites in the UK. Developers are also invited to participate in trade shows and other events, and to work with Multimap on joint press releases and other marketing activities.
- Access to Mapzilla: certified members of our Developer Program receive access to Mapzilla, Multimap's bug-catching facility.
- Influence Multimap's Product Development: Multimap's services are continually enhanced by our Technical team. We will work with certified developers to build new functionality and capabilities into our standard services, and for custom implementations.
- Live On-line Help Facility: all Multimap customers have access to our dedicated Client Service team. Certified developers can also access our live online help facility. You can receive an immediate response from a member of the Support or Technical team—no implementation time is wasted waiting for an email response.
These are the initial features of our Developer Program. In the coming months, we plan to add our Top Tips for implementing Multimap services; a step-by-step guide for service creation; discounts for value creation; and more.
The Multimap Developer Program provides members-only support to developers. The Program is offered free of charge, and although we encourage developers to gain accreditation by attending training sessions and building services that incorporate Multimap products, all developers are invited to participate in the program.
